Page modification not accessible

Madam, Sir, I am trying to modify the page : https://gilscow.wordpress.com/aeolus/ but none of the “buttons” would do anything ! In particular, I want to update the gallery but have no access to it. Even the “html” tag is inactive. Note that I can modify the other pages. Note also that I tried with different computers, web browsers, internet access points, disabling virus protection and extensions, cleaning cache and cookies but nothing would do. The problem seems specific to this page. Would you have a recommendation ? Many thanks in advance and have a good day, Gilles

Hello again, is this the same post that you had trouble with before?
What browser/OS are you using now? Are javascript and pop-ups allowed?
Someone has tagged this for Staff assistance, but knowing the above information will also help them.

Many thanks for your answer, Justjennifer. This is not the same issue as I had before. Here I see all the tools but they are inactive, on this particular page only. On all other pages, they are active. Pop up windows are allowed. Javascript is probably allowed as I would not know how to ban Javascipt ! I am using Firefox and Linux/Lubuntu … but tried with Explorer, Chromium, Windows with the same lack of success. And indeed I cleaned Firefox cache and cookies ! Here I see all the tools but they are inactive, on this particular page only.
After looking at your Aeolus page, there is one option I would to explore. The gallery on that page currently contains 102 images. Loading this many images onto one page could be causing enough stress on your browser to make it unresponsive.
Can you try the following for me:
- Create a test page
- Add exactly the same content, but only 20 gallery images
- See if you can edit this page as you have been with Aeolus
Let me know if you experience the same problem with that page.

Many thanks, Gemmacevans ! I am still struggling with the issue. I created a similar page with 20 pictures and the editing tools work well, like on any other page except this one. With my professional computer, I managed to access the html and remove 18 pictures. But on my personal computer, I still can’t access the editing tools. Is it a matter of RAM, of cache ? I’ll try again after a clean start ! Many thanks again and have a great day.

I created a similar page with 20 pictures and the editing tools work well, like on any other page except this one.
Thanks for testing that for me. The editing tools working well on a page with fewer images supports the idea of the page size being too large.
If you don’t mind, I’d like to test something else. Can you try editing the same page from your WP Admin Dashboard:

Great! You can edit the number of images down in the WP Admin Dashboard and then continue to edit as you normally do.
As you’ve only had the problem on this page, it looks to be due to the interface loading so many images onto one page.
