Page name instead of site identitiy

    Hi guys,

I’m pretty new to WordPress so I don’t know much about it.
Since yesterday I’m using the theme ‘Lodestar’. When I make a new page I would like to get the pagename (i.e. ‘Team’) positioned on the featured image. But unfortunately it only shows the site identity I’ve entered.

Is there any way I can get the website to show the name of the page instead of the site identity?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Lodestar doesn’t have that capability, but you might try the Harmonic theme to see if that works for you. It will display the page title on top of the featured image:

Thanks! I’ve changed the theme of the site. Now I encountered another ‘problem’. Beneath ever page name there is a button ‘More Information’. This button directs to the lower part of the page where the text stands.
Is it possible to disable that button or is that part of the Custom CSS?

Update: I’ve seen other topics on the forum asking the same questions. I have to use Custom CSS to disable the ‘More Information’ button.

    But another question pops up!

For the homepage I want to use the ‘front page’ template. Now the featured image shows along with the site’s slogan but udnerneath there is the text I want to have there, but with a terrible picture behind it. I can’t seem to find the setting to remove that picture and have an equal white background. Please help!

  • Hi again,

Harmonic will display the default background images if a custom image is not specified.

We have information about replacing the default images at the bottom of this guide:
    https://harmonicdemo.wordpress.com/front-page-setup/

Since Harmonic displays the text on the front page template in a white font, it wouldn’t work well to have a white background unless you used CSS to change the text to black. Without CSS, it would work better to use a solid black background image.

Here’s one you can download and use if you choose to go that route:
    Black
