page name vs. tab name inconsistent on static page Mistylook
-
Hello,
My “About” page is called “Home” at the top of the template (Mistylook). How can I make both say “About?” I followed instructions for making a static page.
A second question — it looks strange to have the About page indented (as a child) beneath Posts in the sidebar. Is there anyway around this?
Thanks for your help.

The only way around this is to “hide” the page by making it into a “child” of another page. I’ll be back with instructions in a minute. Edit: http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/i-have-2-home-page-links/

Hi timethief,
I think I tried that already. (I made Posts (blank page) a parent of the page called “About.”
Now I want the tab on top that says “Home” to say “About.” Is this fixable? -
O.k. I deleted and recreated the Posts page, now I have the correct number of Tabs on top, but I want the one that says “Home” to say “About.” I cannot find where to change this.
Also, About has disappeared from my page links in the sidebar. I want it there too. Is this possible?

You can remove specific Pages from your sidebat Pages list within the widget configuration. Click on the white box within the widget on the Presentation -> Sidebar Widgets page and add in the Page IDs that you don’t want in there.
