Page Not Appearing in Nav Bar
-
I added a page to my site, but for some reason it’s not showing up in the navigation bar. Is there a limit to how many pages can be there? I’ve checked the settings and the page is “published” and public, but it’s not accessible unless you search the site.
Any ideas on how to get it up there? Editing the CSS didn’t seem to help. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Sorry I can’t help Stevenaquino, but seems to be same issue I’m having. Mine are currently set to Private so not sure if that makes a difference. (theme claims to support multiple pages)
I too would be grateful for any advice, thanks.

@stevenaquino – if the blog your name is linked to is the one you’re asking about, you’re on the wrong forum, you should be asking over on WordPress.org:

@jennytarry – pages that are set to private don’t show up in the menu. This thread which is about custom menus might help, and as far as I know it applies to default menus too:

Oh Lady Steven is hosted here on wordpress.com not wordpress.org. Post your suggestions only when you’re 100% sure.
@Steven
I’m seeing your other page naming ‘about comments’.
Are you’re talking about your other page, which is not found. Possibly you changed the title to ‘about comments’ so that having no page error.
If you’re using custom menus don’t forget to add page in the menu before saving. -
Thanks absurdoldbird – that did indeed solve my issue. I’m very new to this and was hoping to keep all private until I was ready to make visible – will take a while. Thanks though.

I deleted the page and recreated it, but still having the same problem. The page is published, but it’s still not showing up in the navigation bar. I’m stumped, as al my other pages are set the same way with no issues.

If you created a custom menu and added the pages to it then try these troubleshooting techniques.
Troubleshooting – My Pages aren’t appearing
They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Blog Surfer, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.Troubleshooting – My menu isn’t appearing
Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Apearance > Menus and in the “theme location” module at upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”.If you did not create a custom menu then please create one now.
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/Your theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard
When you purchased the custom design upgrade you also purchased Staff support. Please be paitient while waiting for them to help with CSS editing.

Right — that’s my problem. My site SHOWS three pages, but there should be five (there’s five pages listed under Pages in my Dashboard). I’ve set the page order for each under Attributes, but nothing is showing up. Again, supposedly the other two pages are published and public, but they’re only accessible via a site search.

Have you added them to the default custom menu too? (if you’re using it).
If not then go to menus > select page/s > add them to the menu and save it. -

Okay I can locate the pages and you will need to contact Staff for help using the Help button on the top right hand corner of your Admin page. -
I can see your contact page at the bottom of the page where it says ‘Get in touch’ What’s this?
@TT Have you noted it too? -

That’s a custom menu I created to link to my Contact page. Wanted it accessible in more than one place.
I appreciate the help. I’ll contact Support.
