Page not connecting

    Films I Viewed in 2021

Again, I am trying to edit this page and having problems. Not only is it refusing to copy/cut and paste, but it is also refusing to type. I was adding Show Boat to the list near the bottom and could not remember the exact year. I walked across the room to get the four DVDs I had just checked out from the library, but no matter what I did when I sat back down at the computer, it would not type the 6 or anything else. I kept attempting to reposition the cursor with the mouse. It would make the box appear, but little else. I have been using WordPress for ten years, and I seriously think you’ve broken it and need to go back to the old version.

The site I need help with is scottandrewhutchins.wordpress.com.

  • Hi,

I edited the site you mentioned and was able to type stuff without problems.
What browser do you use? If you could paste into your answer the unique URL this page will generate for you, it would give us more info: https://www.whatismybrowser.com/.

I’d also recommend clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. You can find here more information on how to clear the cache depending on your browser:

I was using Chrome, and this happens a lot with this page, although I was eventually able to get it to work.

It’s particularly unusual in this case because my laptop had just undergone a warranty repair and had multiple parts replaced including the motherboard and the hard drive, so my computing was effectively a blank slate when I did this, although my files were simultaneously being put on it from an external hard drive.

  • Hi there,

When you say that you were able to eventually get it to work, was there anything particular that you did on your end? Clear the cache – or did it just randomly begin to work?

I had to back out completely and make another attempt, ignoring the “restore to more recent version.” But, like I said, this was not the first time it happened, and it probably won’t be the last, although this was after it started pasting something that shouldn’t have been on the clipboard, and wasn’t on the clipboard according to anything else I on which I could put a paste, such as the taskbar.
