Page not found

Whenever I try to preview a new post I get “page not found”. Also, when viewing my blog page the admin bar at the top has disappeared, perhaps this is related? I have cleared caches and cookies from my browser with no improvement.

Hi there, do you have any trouble loading any other pages at WordPress.com besides post previews? If not, please check here to make sure you have third-party cookies enabled in your browser: Preview Problems and Third Party Cookies
If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please try these troubleshooting steps and let me know how they work for you:
- Make sure that you’re using the most current version of one of these major browsers:

Thank you very much for your comprehensive list of suggestions. I have been through them all and unfortunately the problem persists, and it is simply a problem of not being able to preview posts – I get a page not found message. The only other problem is when I view my home page the stats bar at the top has disappeared and the “follow” button is there again (I already follow my blog so that I can review how it looks in the reader as a kind of secondary editing facility).
Anyway I have also been contributing to another thread with lots of other people experiencing problems in the UK who use The Talk Talk ISP – link to the thread below. Perhaps this might help in some way?
Any further thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike,
It does look like you may be running into a technical issue that is also affecting other users, and we’re in the process of investigating that. I’ll keep you posted here.
You may want to try accessing your site from another location or ISP – or through a proxy server – and see if that helps.

Thanks Rachel. If I get the chance to access my site from another ISP I will, and will let you know what happens. If anything esle changes in the meantime I’ll let you know.

Rachel – a little further update….I can no longer even view my site admin, homepage or anything other than the reader and stats pages….seems to be getting worse…

Rachel – one more observation/piece of evidence. I have another blog that I rarely use. Just tried to review posts and had no problem, it let me do it fine. All other functions working perfectly as well. Not sure what this means?

Someone here having exactly the same problem as me but, really frustratingly, the topic has been closed so I can’t find out how it was resolved???

Thanks for the additional information. We are still working on resolving this issue — you may only experience it intermittently, but we will keep looking into it and I’ll keep you posted.

Hi Rachael, just to let you know that I’m still having the same problems. I’m following your updates on various threads and understand that you have identified the issue in the UK, but I wanted you to know that, for me at least, the problems persist (Talk Talk UK ISP). Hi Mike, thanks for letting us know, and I’m very sorry to hear that you’re still having trouble.
We are still working on the issue. Right now, we are waiting for word from the ISPs and IWF about the status of the blocking that they did. As soon as we have more information about that, we will update the sticky forum thread about it. Thanks!

Hi Mike, I don’t have any more information about this yet, sorry. However, can you try restarting your modem and router? This may make a different in your connection to WordPress.com. Please let me know how that works for you.

Hi Rachel, I re-started my router as suggested, it made no difference, same problems. I’ve tried different web browsers (firefox, safari, chrome, explorer), same. I’ve cleaned my DNS thingy, same. Thanks.
