page not found

Sorry, I’m a complete novice and I feel all the technical support already specified is totally above my head. I’m happy to spend time working my way around content, but in the meantime I can’t understand why, if I simply put my (paid) ‘.me’ address in the url bar nothing comes up apart from ‘that page can’t be found’. Where can I find very, very, VERY basic information on this?
Thank you
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Even when I click on the link in the query above, my own blog doesn’t come up despite actually being signed in as myself!

These are the two URLs:
linked to your username is http://succinctlyput.wordpress.com/
automatically provided by our software is http://movingswiftlyon.me/re: front page 404 (page not found) error
That error message can easily be addressed. Publish a post and it will be gone. By default the front page of your blog displays all posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ -
Thank you timethief. I’m probably just not getting this, as I posted only this afternoon and yet the problem, which has been there from the start, remains. One thing I’ve been trying to do is disable the http://succinctlyput.wordpress.com URL and just stick with http://movingswiftlyon.me/ as that’s the only one I now intend to use. I’m not sure if that’s contributing to the problem in any way.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

That’s why I suggested above that you may wish to make it private instead. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Thanks again timethief. This is a whole new language for me and I’m very slowly getting up to speed. I won’t deny that not all of what you outline makes much sense to me yet, but some of your suggestions have and I’ve made progress by following them.
Much appreciated.

Without doubt the learning curve is a steep one. I’m glad I have been able to help. Best wishes with your blog.
