page not found after changing permalink

  hi there… I’m really no good at this and should not have even attempted but… in an attempt to start converting my ‘blog’ to a ‘website’ i changed the permalink by deleting the ‘/blog/’ word from the end. Needless to say, I messed up! I can’t even see my page anymore or log into it and make any changes, etc. Any idea what to do?

  @dhuratadavies can you send a link to your site?

  Honestly it sounds like you might not have a site on our servers, since we typically don’t let users change permalinks on our installation.

  If it helps, these forums are actually for the sites here at WordPress.com, which is different than what you have as your own WordPress installation at another host.

  All fixed! Phew!!! A clever someone went on the back end and restored the settings, etc. Never touching it again myself if not sure what i’m doing. Thanks for replying though : )
