‘Page not found’ message
-
My website opens normally on my notebook pc when the wp address is entered or when entry is via a link on another organizations website. But that site is inaccessible on my iPad or android. The correct address or a correct link brings up the ‘Page not found’ message. I normally use Chrome but it’s the same story with Safari. I would much appreciate a solution.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

hi,
Go to Customizer and check where your Home Page is mapping to.

It says the home page is a static page. Home gives basic info; text widgets in the Home margin give new info.
Further info about the problem (“Page not found” on iPad and Android though all is well on my PC); 3 others report “Page not found” on all devices):
-When I was informed that someone could not access the site on any device I checked my devices and there was no problem.
-Because I had a 2nd site ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) when building the Crooked Creek Conservancy site which was private (for Board member input into site content), never used thereafter and which brought up the “Oops” message when a search engine took someone there, I deleted that unused site the the other day. Thanks for the response. I am out of my depth with this sort of problem.

hi,
I too get the not found message at your blog:
https://screenshots.firefox.com/dgmkFFq4tPRj4jOw/crookedcreekconservancy.wordpress.comWhen you checked Customizer on where Home Page is mapping to, does the Page still exist ?

I tested my site with your Theme Twenty Twelve and found that even if the original page is missing,eg it was accidentally delete, your home page will just say No posts to display instead of your current error message.

Hi there,
Can you please send us a screenshot from your iPad or your phone to better understand the issue?
Here’s how to take a screenshot:
-
I have the screenshot from the iPad on my pc but cannot figure out how to copy it into this reply box. Can I email it somehow? Or…?
-
@mvandepi for future reference, you can head to wordpress.com/media and upload there. Staff will be able to see it, or you can send a link.
But @kosiew is correct. Your home page is not set correctly. I can see from my end that you’ve set its status to draft, which is causing issues.
Please go ahead and publish the home page. Then, for good measure, head to My Site > Customize > Home Page Settings, and re-select “Home” as your front page (if you look now, nothing is selected.)
That ought to do the trick, but if not please update us here and we’ll investigate further. Thanks!
