page not loading

    Hello I have been attempting to access my page to view my changes but when I do so from the broswer, the page never loads.

    Hi there,

    Yes, that can be frustrating. A few questions come to mind…

    • Are you getting any kind of error message, or does the loading icon just keep spinning?
    • And does this happen only after saving or updating the Page? Or at random times while editing?
    • And lastly, how is your internet connection?

    Having a bad connection that keeps dropping can often be the culprit in these cases.

    Hello,

    It happens anytime I try to load my page on a laptop or destop browser. The page seems to load on my phone when I try to view it. Also I’m unable to load my admin page on laptop/desktop as well. My internet connection does not seem to be the issue as the same thing has happened while at different locations using different internet connections. I have an unpaid free page. I’m wondering if I may have gone over my GB space limit as a recent post I was preparing was image heavy. However, I never actually posted it.

    Hmmm. That’s interesting.

    Just to verify, this is not the WordPress.com app, correct?

    And no error messages?

    Also, are you using the same laptop/desktop when the site fails to load? Or have you tried logging in on different machines and experienced the same thing?

    I’ll go ahead and tag this post with ‘modlook’ so that a Staff member can take a closer look and make sure that all is well on your account side.

    So I took a look at my page on a different machine and it worked! But I’m confused as to why it may not be loading on my Macbook now.

    Hi @jimadoriicrafts, it’s definitely not a space issue — you would just not be able to upload more images if you ran out. The site would still work otherwise.

    You mentioned this happens on a desktop and a Macbook, but it works on another machine.

    Can you confirm whether the same problem appears in all browsers on your Macbook?
