"Page Optimize" plugin
-
Hi,
I see in my plugins list that there is a “Page Optimize” plugin by Automattic, with this mention below : “This plugin was installed by WordPress.com and provides features offered in your plan subscription.”
(I have the Business plan by the way.)
I notice that this plugin is disabled, and in its details window there is a warning saying that it was not tested with my current (newer) version of WordPress.
So, should I enable it or leave it disabled ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I have it activated on my Business plan without causing any issues. Do you recall deactivating it yourself or maybe because of some other reason?
When one clicks on the “View details” link, to the right of “Automattic”, one can find further below that warning message the “Testing” section. It is worth running them to make sure it does cause any problems with your website’s content.
Last, but not least, for faster access to help please go ahead and use the following link in the future (the Business plan has some extra features regarding accessing help) :

Thank you for your reply. Honestly I can’t remember if it was me who deactivated this plugin, or if it was disabled by default.
I just enabled the plugin and I noticed something : in its settings page, there is this mention :
This plugin disables Jetpack “Speed up static file load times”.So, apparently, this plugin is in conflict with a Jetpack feature. Since Jetpack is enabled by default on my website and since it seems much more complete and up-to-date than Page Optimize, maybe that’s why I should keep only Jetpack ?
By the way, thank you for the tip about the help link for Business plan.

Hi there,
I see that you already contacted us about that via live chat. If you need help with anything else feel free to start a new chat session.

Yes, I contacted the live chat after creating this thread. According to them :
The Optimize plugin is designed specifically for sites hosted by WordPress.com so it incorporates what Jetpack already has and adds some additional features specific to our hosting environment.
and their advice :
I’d use Page Optimize and not enable the Jetpack Speed up static file load times instead since your site is hosted here on WordPress.com
