Page order ignored

  I’ve tried to arrange the pages (not posts) on my blog physicspages.com in order by specifying order numbers on the edit page. However, this ordering is ignored and the pages appear in alphabetical order. Is this a bug or am I missing a setting somewhere?

  There is actually a better way to list your pages in your sidebar that will give you more flexibility. Let me show you how to create a custom menu.

  Your theme doesn’t support a traditional menu, but you can still use the menu feature to create a widget that displays your pages in the order you choose.

  The first step is to create the menu itself.

  The menu can be created from your WP-Admin dashboard under Appearance>Menus. I’ve also included a direct link below:

  From here, just give your new menu a name and add the pages you want to see in it from the left column. Once you’ve added the pages you can order them by dragging them up and down in the list on the right.

  Once you have the menu the way you like it, you can add it to your menu using the custom menu widget.
