Page – Post – banner – links organization
-
I have read many discussions about this, and the more I read the more I feel lost on the topic.
This is my blog (in spanish) http://32spokesmtb.com
Background, this is sort of a magazine and a review and news site, for organization purposes I have tried using pages, they were actually the same as the Top level menus that appear on the website today, the idea was to organize the posts per pages, and topics (categories) and have some sort of structure instead of just about every post in just one page.
I havent managed to do that and as I understand it is impossible, am I right?, So the menu you see now is done with categories, it works fine. But …. I really dislike the format of the links (address) for example: http://32spokesmtb.com/2012/04/15/mas-mujeres-ciclistas/ in this case, this text is marked under the categories: “Magazine” & “Pasion”, therefore I would like that the adress was something like this: http://32spokesmtb.com/magazine/mas-mujeres-ciclistas/
or
http://32spokesmtb.com/magazine/2012/04/15/mas-mujeres-ciclistas/ how can I do that? Most of the posts have their own banner image, and I would like that this image is shown autmatically also in the home page which always shows the last entry, instead of showing any random banner image. Currently the specific post´s banner image is only shown if the name of the post is clicked.
I hope I made myself clear, because I know it is a bit mixed up.
I thank any help in advance,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
