page problems

  I don’t really know how to ask for help because I don’t know how to explain my problem but I will try. ive added 2 categories to my header on my blog. ive got posts categorized to go in each one but they all still show up together when you load up my blog for the first time until you hit the ‘home’ category. then you only see what ive put in that category. I want to make the very first page you see a stagnate welcoming page. then have the options to go where they want in the header. I cant seem to figure out how to do this.

  You want a static page as your home page and a custom menu to link to your “category pages”.
