Page refreshing??

As I try to proof read my work, the page keeps jumping, perhaps refreshing, about every 10 seconds. It will jump up a few paragraphs and I have to scroll back down to continue reading. Why is this happening and is there a way to avoid this? I can handle a refresh every minute or so, but it is literally happening about every 10 seconds!!

Does the issue persist if you are working in a different browser? Like Chrome or Firefox?

Hello, Yes I am currently working on a draft in myshouldicestory.wordpress.com And yes, I just tried it on both Chrome and Firefox and the page is still jumping. Does it have anything to with the length of the page? It’s very long and includes pictures as well.

I have realized that the page jumping is due to the auto save feature. I am very new to wordpress so any help I have found on line elsewhere is all greek to me. I may be able to change how often the page auto saves (since mine is saving every 15 seconds) but I read it has something to do with changing the “coding” and with that, I am totally lost. I have read that you can not turn this feature off!! Is this still true?? Auto save I can handle, but not when it makes it impossible to navigate and edit my pages. Frustrating!!

The flashing should not occur with the auto save feature. I’m working on replicating the issue and getting some help for you from that team.

Hello, thank you for your input. I wasn’t receiving any emails from WordPress at all so I double checked my account information and I had mis-typed my email address. It has been corrected. Would you mind re-sending the activation link? And also, the jumping has not stopped. :(

It looks like your account has been activated. Can you try to clear your browser cache and let me know if the issue persists.
