  page resize causes overlap of words and images,

  I dont see a way to choose flexible width vs static…(not right terms probably)

  when resizing page the right side bar begins to overlap into the middle of page.

  That is unfortunately a characteristic of the theme you’re using (Coraline). Choosing a “responsive” theme, like Twenty Eleven, would prevent that.
