Hey! So i have the free edition of word press and im having trouble placing the blogs I posted in the tab categories that I have posted at the top of the site. For example, a NFL draft article was published this morning and I wanna have it so people can view it when they click on the NFL it will be listed there. A step-by-step guide to fixing this will be very helpful.

It sounds like you would like your menu links (NHL, NFL, etc) to link to pages that contain all blog posts related to each topic, so when NHL is clicked for example, all posts in the NHL category will load.
To do that, you’ll use Category Pages: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
For example, to make your NHL link display all posts categorized in NHL, edit your NHL menu link to point to this URL: https://stalltalksports.wordpress.com/category/nhl/
