To understand how your theme displays pages (behind an icon) see here please https://wordpress.com/themes/hexa/

This is the page URL https://beltosfun.wordpress.com/sharpness-with-the-glosters/
I found it when I clicked the orange icon with the three white bars in it at the top of your blog on the right hand corner. -
I think you may be confusing Pages for static content that rarely, if ever, changes and Posts. Please read https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Thanks for the information, I will copy to posts and take it from there.
I hope to create a Web Site at later time and I guess I will use Pages to create.

I’m also having the same problem, the theme, HIVE, shows that pages should or can be shown on the inital site under the blog sub title , but mine for some reason don’t appear at all, the only option seems to be a widget that only shows optional pages on posts… any ideas as to how I can solve the problem? I need the alternative pages to show as soon as people log onto the site and not on posts.

IMO the best themes to use for website style sites are those with menus at the top rather than menus that are hidden behind links. That’s because the links in the exposed menus are easy for visitors to find and when they are hidden behind icons they are not easy to find.
A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds, and as others do not backlink to pages, it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/

@gerardcoffey
There is no link for your wordpress.COM blog above. Sites hosted by wordpress.COM are the only sites we provide support for here. Your post in this thread is not right on topic. If you are asking about a wordpress.COM hosted site please use this Add new topic link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 to create your own thread and include the site URL when you do because any thread without a site URL in it is “dead in the water”.
