Page Tab as Link
-
Hi – I’d like to use a tab in the menu bar as a direct link back my company’s home page. I’ve tried entering GNS – but the result is a blank tab, then “GNS” both of which are clickable. I’m using the theme Contempt. Is there a way to eliminate that blank tab in front of the “GNS” one? Many thanks in advance for any help!

1. Please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here – or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.
2. No there’s no way to eliminate the blank tab, unless you switch to another theme. But you can at least make the link work if you add a space after “GNS” in the title of the link.

Thank you for the quick response! My apologies for not pasting the exact URL. I hadn’t located the 8 things to know and appreciate your pointing them out to me.
Do you know what themes allow for tabs with direct links or can you direct me to a site that lists them?

No need to thank me “for the quick response”: I just happened to be around at the moment.
No site: the page-title-as-link is an unofficial trick. Works alright with many themes – I only remember it’s not ok in Contempt, Digg 3 and Misty Look.

Okay, well, thanks anyhow, I’m glad you happened to be around and took the time to respond. I’ll take a look at the other themes.
Thanks again.
