Page Template change- issue?

  Hello, so recently I have been trying to make my own pages in the wordpress site editor, however, one problem. I want to have pages for my contact info, a shop, an error 404, and an about page, but all those have to be made on different page templates rather than the default one. I have several custom templates I made to use and tried to go by the instructions posted here,

  but the changinh template doesn’t seem to be an option for me on my mobile or desktop, I only get the drop down templates menu with the pages template, no default or change option.

  I am on a free service btw, so if changing templates is a paid thing lmk.

  I do not have a default template page option so I can change and only have one page template that is the default one and default template option is not shown to where I can edit it.

  I have a free account and website hosted. And so does my friend. He has the default page template, I do not.

  This is what I get when I try to click on page editor, go to setting, go to summary, and go to templates. Why can I not change my page templates and why are they all the same?

  Hi there!

  Changing templates is not a paid feature. However, are you sure that you want to have different templates for different pages? I ask because I’ve seen some users confused between the page editor and the site editor (where you can edit the page templates).

  If you’re making different pages, you would want to edit their content using the page editor at My Site → Pages → click on the page title you want to edit.

  You would create different templates or edit the default one if you want to have a ‘layout’ applied to many pages at once.

  You probably understand the difference and know what you’re doing, but I wanted to mention this just in case there is any confusion.

  By the way, I checked one of your pages in the page editor, and I can see the templates you created. See this screenshot:

  

  Do these templates still not show up on your end?

  They did! I made the mistake of trying to do this solely via mobile and my conflict has been resolved. Thank you for your help!
