Page Templates
-
I would like to create page templates but can’t find where to do this. There are two that appear that are associated with my theme, default and news. I’d like to add my own custom one but how can’t see how to do this.
I’ve seen videos that talk about adding a .php extension but I’m hosting with WordPress. Do I need to do something different.

We cannot edit templates or themes on free hosted WordPress.com blog so whatever you are reading is not helpful. It’s for WordPress.org installs only. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ All support documentation for WordPress.com bloggers is here http://en.support.wordpress.com Some themed provide Page templates but most don’t.

Note I believe you can use the “copy a page” function which works like the copy a post function does but I haven’t used it myself. http://en.support.wordpress.com/writing-helper/copy-a-post/
