Page text/editing is facing vertical. How do I fix this?
-
Image shows you the example I mean.
My brother was kindly editing my home page, edited some margins, saved and apparently it’s only messed up my ‘about page’.
No idea how to fix this as have spent last 30 minutes clicking everything.
Even creating a ‘new page’ shows things in vertical when I want to add paragraph text etc etcThanks

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
From what I can see, I can’t see any narrow margins or issues with the pages. To check, were you able to resolve this ok?
It sounds like changes were being made via Appearance > Editor.

Hi @aleone89
Sorry I removed the ‘broken pages’, but if you now go back on my site, i’ve added it again to show you. It’s the Header titled ‘old_about’.
The working ‘About’ page is made via ‘portfolio’ whereas the ‘broken vertical’ one is made via ‘pages’I was able to ‘fix’ the pages ‘back to normal’ by having to change the ‘template’ in the Classic Editor from ‘Default’ to any other option.
It seems as if ‘default’ template is causing said issue..? -
Thank you for re-adding that… That sure is strange behaviour.
Did you copy and paste any content from outside of WordPress.com into the page at any point?

I’ve managed to fix it!!
Appearance>Editor(beta)>Templaets>Page>this page is brought up:
I did some trial and error and found this ‘post content‘ had layout enabled.
Upon disagling it, it showed text horizontally!:
Now my ‘Old_About‘ is back to showing everything horizontally!
I have no idea how this happened or why this should cause said issue.
As said, my brother made some margins manually on a column and clicked save.
Even re-enabling ‘Layout‘ doesnt change the page back to vertical. It just adds a slight border/squishes the text in a little…Do you know why this would have caused said issue?

I’m not sure what the cause would have been. Keep us updated though if you see this happen again.
