Page Text Formatting

  I added a new page to my blog today and I’m using it as a ‘collection’ space so I will be adding to it often and editing it often. Today, whenever I do edit it, all of my previous line breaks seem to disappear. So I add whatever content I want to add and then have to go back and input all of the line breaks again. And then when I add content again, once more the line breaks are gone and everything is running together and I have to do it all over once more. It’s exhausting. I’ve tried it in the visual editor as well as the text editor using code. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or missing. Can anyone help or offer a suggestion?   Oh my goodness … I’m doing some online research in hopes of finding an answer to this problem or at least a workaround and it seems this is an ongoing issue for quite some time now with many people. I did find this forum http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-qtranslate-formatting-missing-in-editor?replies=13 with some coding workarounds for the same issue with very old posts of this problem, but it’s for wordpress.org and those w/ customizable blogs not for wordpress.com and free blogs. Are there any moderators around that can maybe offer up some solutions or suggestions please? Thank you.

  Ok and now I’m seeing this article http://rubayathasan.com/wordpress/plugin/enabling-line-break-in-wordpress/ and that my problem is not an ‘issue’ or bug perse but that it is an intentional ‘non’ feature of WordPress? How can this be and why? This gentleman has come up with yet more code to install in your customizable blog coding but still for people w/ the free version there is no help I’m guessing. I just don’t understand how we’re expected to create something beautiful and functional without line breaks! It just doesn’t make any sense. Someone please tell me I’m wrong and these are just outdated forums that I’m reading and there IS a fix for this. Surely there must be.
