Page title and description are repeating in search results, please help!
-
I’m getting a duplicate title and description in search results, just started today and I have no idea what caused it. I have a free account so can’t alter the title code (as far as I know) and can’t find anyway to fix it.
My blog is my fledgling portfolio, so any help ASAP would be much appreciated!

It looks like a WordPress issue though – the title and description appears twice in the code with the same variance of format as it appears on the search results.

<title>DOPE MEAT FILMS | UK Filmmaking Collective</title> -
From the search result:
DOPE MEAT FILMS – UK Filmmaking CollectiveDOPE MEAT FILMS | UK Filmmaking Collective
One title/description is split by a hyphen, the other by a pipe, exactly as it appears in the page code.

Just to confirm for anyone else with the same problem, it is a WordPress issue – change the theme (I was using Plane, switched to Wilson) and it sorts itself out.
