page title heeeadings offseet

Hi there, I hope you can help, we have recently moved back to a free site, and I have managed to make the website functional however I wondered if there was a setting I am missing to stop the page titles from being offset to the left?
If you have a look at the pages you will see what I mean, it’s like the titles are on justify items left but I can’t find an option to change it anywhere, neither on themes nor on pages themselves.

Hi there,
To be able to change the alignment of the Page Title you need to access the Site Editor. Keep in mind that not all the themes support that feature.
1. Go to Pages.
2. Open any page.
3. In the settings on your right, under Template, select the template you wish to edit. Click Edit.
4. Click on the Title block and edit as per your preferences.
If your theme doesn’t have an option for Editor the settings for the Page title remain the same.
I hope that helps!

Hi there,
Your theme, Affinity, is designed to align post titles to the left in this way. The empty space that’s created under the title because it’s offset to the left is meant to contain the post publication date and author, as you can see on the theme demo here: https://affinitydemo.wordpress.com/news/
But I see you’ve opted not to display those details on your posts, in which case that space is just left empty.
This display of post titles is one of the central features of the theme’s design, so there’s no setting to change this. That means the only way to change it is using custom CSS to override the theme’s design, and that would require our Pro plan.
Your other option is of course to switch to a newer theme – with all our recommended themes in the theme showcase you’ll have access to the new site editor, which allows you to directly modify the appearance of the theme without needing CSS code, and you could use it to create something similar to Affinity in general appearance, but looking the way you want it :)
Let us know if you have any questions about this.
staff-naz06, thanks for helping. Just a quick note: before giving people instructions for doing something in the site editor, be sure to first check their site and see if they’re actually using one of the new block themes. If they’re using an older, classic theme, like in this case, they won’t have access to the site editor, so those instructions won’t work for them :)
