page title reappearing in text on page – big brother theme

  I am sure this question has been asked many times – I am learning, but I know nothing – when you label a PAGE in WP.com to set up the page i get the title un the main page … such as home as page title …and then as an h1 header……….it’s not in MY text so why does it appear in the page? It seems like a shortfall of WP.com (flame me ;-) ) I have seen the odd r
  eply such as amend the . php in the head etc….. PLease i dont know where or what the .php / css style sheet etc….. Can anyone just guide though step by step how i fix this small but annoying problem……eg log on go here go there…..i ve just signed up so latest wp.com and big brother them,,,,, i know you are using you time for free so i appreciate help tks

  I do not understand what it is that you want to do. Are you trying to delete the Page title that appears on the page itself?

  If you answer is yes then click this link http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/ and scroll down to Other options, special cases and tricks. Then scroll to: f. Tabs for static pages but no page titles on the actual pages

  hi timethief,

  Thanks for your help….I followed the instructions – I assume by additional character it means anything like “t” for example?

  Anyway, partial success as the page title is still visible in the menu and does not appear on the pages, BUT now all my pages in my dashboard have no titles so i can’t see which page is which….? Should this happen? I suppose so as i have deleted the title…..but if this is meant to happen it obviously makes navigating to the correct page in my dashboard tricky with no titles.
  Did I do something wrong or am i missing something obvious?
