Page title tagline

The page’s title tagline (as viewed on the top of the browser on hover) appears it did when we first set up the website. Since then I have tried to change the tagline but with no luck. I would even like to upload an icon which would be displayed in the browser.

Currently it the tagline states “Changing the way busy people learn English”. We’ve tried to change it to “Changing reading and language learning”

    Hello there,
You cana chnage a Blog Title and/or the optional Tagline at any time on this page > Settings > General.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I don’t see an option for Settings->General while I’m in edit mode of one particular page. I do see Settings->General that applies for the entire site and that I have changed….but the changes are not propagated to the individual pages. Intuitively I thought I would find something on the page in edit mode but no luck. I don’t have the premium account if that matters?

This is a sitewide settings. It’s not a page by page or post by post setting. If you choose to suppress the display to the Blog Title and Tagline by hiding the header text then it will not appear on any pages.
    Appearance > Header
    Header Text
__Show header text with your image.

Search bots cannot read any text in images and if your remove the Blog Title and Tagline from your General Settings page then you may have troiuble getting the site indexed.

Oh and I forgot to say there is no upgrade you can purchase that changes any of this.

I think I may have described it wrong. I’m referring to the text that appears on the tab of the browser…above the browser’s address bar. There seems to be a disconnect between what’s displayed there and the tagline text you were referring to. I tried activating the tagline and I could see it in the body of the browser but not in the webpage tab.

Your tagline reads “Changing reading and language learning”, and that’s what I’m also seeing above the address bar of my browsers when viewing your blog. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. (What browser and version are you using?)
