Page titles – prob fonts and sizes rename posting page
-
Page titles are not the same fonts and sizes. How can I fix that? (all pages should look like Personnal Statement page)
Also, the posting page, which I called “storyline” is automatically renamed “last entries”. Can I force it to be titled “storyline”?
Thanks a lot!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1) To make the other page titles look like “Personal Statement”, you can add this:
.wf-active .entry-title { font-size: 28px; }Note: this solution will also decrease the size of the post title when you view a single complete post. Is that ok, or do you want the title on the single post view to remain as huge as they are?
Also, making all page titles like “Personal Statement” means that “Storyline” on the posts page will be exactly like the post titles below it. I don’t think that’s correct, so I suggest you add this to decrease the size of the post titles:
.wf-active body.archive .entry-title, .wf-active body.blog .entry-title, wf-active body.search .entry-title { font-size: 21px; }2) Re the “renaming”, when you set a static page as your posts page, you no longer see that static page: the static page is used to generate the menu item, but the menu item now links to the (dynamic) page that displays your latest posts. That dynamic page on Sight happens to have the heading “Latest Entries” in its HTML. So you need to somehow hide the heading and insert a substitute. One way to do it:
.wf-active .latest-posts-header { font-size: 0; } .latest-posts-header:before { content: "Storyline"; font-size: 28px; padding-left: 1.26em; text-transform: none; }3) A couple of other things:
• You need to edit your avatar image to remove the grey line.
• Do you really like the styling of the top menu? To me it looks like a flaw: it looks as if something is hiding its bottom part. (I would probably add a bottom border, maybe remove the vertical borders, and probably make it centered too, to match the footer credits.) -
Thank you!
I don’t know what’s going on with the CV page…. the page title and its below line are moving down a bit (while all the other pages remain at the same level).
The menu doesn’t show the same style from Safari to Chrome. In Chrome, the selected page menu title isn’t in bold. Any idea?
FYI: this is a temp picture & still don’t know what to do with header and menu…. thinking about it. thanks for your advices.

Regarding the avatar, I only put it because it hides Search/Archives/Meta.
I wish that the text space would be larger and the white screen more narrow. Would it be possible?

You’re welcome.
Yes, sorry, I saw the differences now that you applied them. “Personal Statement” is one element, “Curriculum Vitae” and “Contact” are a different element, and the artificial “Storyline” is again a different element: the space below each one of these is a little different, but it’s just a couple of pixels so I didn’t notice it when I changed the font sizes.
Change the .latest-posts-header:before code to this:.latest-posts-header:before { content: "Storyline"; display: block; font-size: 28px; margin-bottom: 0.2em; padding-left: 1.26em; text-transform: none; }And add this as well:
body.home .entry-title, body.search .entry-title, body.archive .entry-title, body.blog .entry-title { line-height: 1.4; margin-bottom: 0.2em; } -
(I’ll check your blog again after you apply the above and see if it needs any further fine-tuning).

I think you deleted this:
.wf-active .latest-posts-header { font-size: 0; }This is what hides the original heading.

Ok done!
What about the sidebar? Any solution to make it disappear? And resize the text space (make it more width)?
And the menu behaviour in Chrome to fit Safari?

Sure.
maybe I should start a new thread for the side bar issue and resize of the text space…
Yup…
And the menu behaviour in Chrome to fit Safari?
No idea. Chrome has various issues, and I’m not using it, so I cannot tell what’s wrong.
What I can do is suggest an alternative – and hopefully Chrome will understand better. I find the bolding bad (and the black bg upon hover even worse): would you like marking the active page with a change of color instead of font weight?
