Page updates not applying
-
My site has a complex structure and a large number of pages.
I can easily update most pages but there are at least four pages that I can’t update. This is one:
https://aroundtheworldin575songs.com/2018/04/11/vol-ii-africa/
Wordpress will appear to accept the update, there is no error message, but the changes are not applied to the site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I don’t see anything wrong with that page. Can you please clear your browser’s cache and see if that fixes the updating issue?
-
-
Thanks for giving the cache a try. It’s just a good thing to rule out when things aren’t performing normally.
Have you already checked to see if the missing saved materials are in a revision? https://wordpress.com/support/editors/page-post-revisions/

Yes they are.
For example:
In 1985 the fact that no African artists were invited to perform at Live Aid barely caused a ripple. Twenty years later when Bob Geldof organised the Live 8 concerts he did have to answer questions about why so few African artists had been invited. Even Keith Richards was asking “where are the Africans ?” Much water had flowed under the bridge, and society’s attitudes toward racism and toward other cultures had

Deleted: moved on.

Can you please check if there’s any errors in the browser console when you click Update on the page?
If there are, please take a screen shot of the errors, and upload to My Site ->Site ->Media, and we’ll be able to see them there.
-
The console tab contains a long list of ‘issues’ of the type ‘Tracking Prevention blocked access to storage for <URL>’. It’s all gobbledegook to me, but I’ve done a partial screenshot which is saved in Media Documents.
-
Thanks.
Are you using a tracking blocker add-on in Edge, or do you have a browser setting configured to block trackers? It does appear whatever you’re using might also be blocking network requests sent by the editor, so try disabling any tracking-blocking add-ons or settings, and see if that helps.
-
Edge tells me that I haven’t installed any extensions.
In Edge Settings there are three Tracking Prevention options. I was on ‘Balanced’ which seems to be the default option. I’ve had a quick try to see if removing this would help at all, but the answer seems to be no.

Hi there,
Do you usually publish your updates via the wp-admin classic editor? If so, have you tried updating the post via the WordPress.com editor to see if sticks?
-
-
Hm, that’s odd. Could you please reach out directly via https://wordpress.com/help/contact from the account that owns the site (575songs) to further troubleshoot it?
Feel free to mention the URL to this thread so our support team knows exactly what has been checked already.
Thanks!
