  Hi

  I’m new to this and wanted an SEO-friendly URL for all of the pages and posts. I changed the description of the slug in WordPress but for some reason, all the pages are showing like the below

  https://forkingearth.com/?p=812

  Any help would be appreciated.

  You need to change your permalinks by navigating to My Site > Settings > Permalinks, choosing “Post Name” radio button and hitting Save Changes button.

  This should work whether you have a Business or eCommerce plan on WordPress.com or dedicated WordPress setup using WordPress.org. More information can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/permalinks-and-slugs/

  Thanks for the information. I don’t see the Permalinks link under settings. I assume I must be on a lower subscription (non business/ecom) and it doesn’t allow you to make those changes?

  That’s correct, Permalink settings cannot be changed on WordPress.com sites below the Business plan.
