Page URL / sidetracking difficulty

  Hello, first time posting here,

  I have my wordpress site mariannejohnsonmusic.wordpress.com linked to a domain of northlondonsinging.com, hosted through GoDaddy. If I type in a page name, e.g. /teaching or /testimonials, then it will link straight to the right page, but if I click on the page name using the menu bar the URL stays with the previously typed address, e.g. if I move from the ‘Contact’ page to the ‘Testimonials’ page the URL address still says /contact.

  I rang Go Daddy and they advised me it’s a WordPress issue with the wrong page URL, or that I might be looking at a sidetracking issue. Would someone be able to help me with this?

  Howdy Maz,
  We went through both your links separately , they seem to be working absolutely fine , clicking on the various menu buttons leads to the right page , the transition seems to be fine , chances are there are browser issues , you could clear them and try again ,here is some information about it

  Hi Pavan,

  Thanks for looking into it. Still not working, having cleared browser (I’m using Chrome). It’s not the wordpress URL but the domain URL, and actually has been going on for months. It just stays at northlondonsinging.com, regardless of which page I click onto using the menu bar. I downloaded Firefox to try it on there too and it’s doing the same thing.

  I looked into the domain northlondonsinging.com
  The name servers of this domain dont point to WordPress.com
  they have to be updated , they should point to
  ns1.wordpress.com.
  ns2.wordpress.com.
  ns3.wordpress.com
  And in the above scenario the domain should be mapped using this information https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Also if the website on northlondonsinging.com is a self hosted website , then your best way to get help is
  https://wordpress.org/support/
