Page URLs includes ‘Blocks’ on several pages

  • Unknown's avatar

Most of my pages on my site have a URL that contains ‘blocks’ for example it looks like ‘https://trailblazerdevelopments.com/blocks/customhomes/’ and should read https://trailblazerdevelopments.com/customhomes/

I’ve tried editing my menu in the site editor + editing the permalinks to no avail. Any and all help would be appreciated this has STUMPED me!

FYI, the ‘WHAT WE BUILD’ page should function as a hover to get to the other menu items.

    Hi there!

This is happening because you have a page with the slug blocks – it’s here: https://trailblazerdevelopments.com/blocks.

And those other pages have this page set as their parent page. As a result, those pages are “child” pages, and so they all have the /blocks/ in their URL.

To change this, you can click here to open one of the pages in the editor and click “Page Attributes” on the right sidebar. Here’s a screenshot:

As you can see, the “What We Build” page is set as the parent page. And because that page has the blocks URL, all pages that have this page set as their parent page also share the blocks in the URL.

Hope that helps! If you want all pages to be their own/parent pages, you’ll want to edit them and remove the Parent page from the Page Attributes.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
