page visibility
-
pages listed on header are no longer published (trashed) since can only display 2 pages due to blog template; I deleted the two I no longer use very much, but the page titles didn’t disappear and be replaced by the only two pages still active. I checked all the FAQs but didn’t find any that specifically addressed my problem.
Thanks,

PS: in short, I want to know how to “refresh” the published pages on the header to reflect which pages are now active. The pages shown are trashed by I can’t get them removed, and replaced to reflect currently active pages. I did refresh, etc., empty cache and cookies, but the problem still remains. I use Internet 9 in case that is important, thanks!

1) “can only display 2 pages due to blog template”
That’s not correct: most templates allow you to display as many tabs as you like.2) If you’re not seeing the right tabs in the top menu, then you have activated a custom menu. As I explained to you in another thread, the regular top menu of a theme automatically displays all your published (parent) pages. So, if that’s what you want, you just need to de-activate the custom menu: go to Appearance > Menus, select the blank option from the Theme Locations pulldown, save.

Thanks, I thought I had done that, but I’ll go back and try again. Sorry to be such a bother — I’m still in the learning process with all of this. Thanks for your patience so far!
Just checked and it worked this time. I want to find the time to change templates, and I will remember (I hope, lol) these instructions should it ever happen again.
Thanks so much!
