pageok blank screen is getting loaded for my site

    I’ve purchased domain anoopcnair.com from wordpress and hosted in godaddy.

    Today morning. I’ve noticed that my site is giving blank screen with pageok error. I had contacted Godaddy and they informed me that DNS A record is pointing to some other IP not the IP of hosting server.

    When I checked A Record of DNS records in my WordPress store

    “A anoopcnair.com. points to “

    1. there was ” .” after com and point to IP Address was blank.

    2. I’ve changed the A record to the correct IP and domain name.

    3. Still when I perform a ping anoopcnair.com it’s pinging to a different IP (not my hosting server)

    Questions

    1. As mentioned in the point (1) above the POINT TO IP in A record was blank then how still my domain is pinging to another IP?

    2. Is this something someone deliberately changed or hacked to make my site down ?

    3. How to avoid this in future other than keeping strong strong passwords?

    4. What else they could have done by cracking into my domain via wordpress?

    5. Could they be able to change the ownership of the domain?

    6. How much time it will take the new changes I’ve made in DNS A record to propagate?

    Hi, there. This forum is for sites hosted by WordPress.com. But your site appears to be self-hosted (GoDaddy). So you’ll have better results asking your questions at the WordPress.org forums:

    Brian ! – Thanks for your reply. Yes, you’re correct I’ve hosted with GoDaddy as I mentioned above.

    Why am I posting this in wordpress.com forum?

    OK, this is because, my domain is registered with wordpress.com and I’m still managing domain and DNS records via WordPress.com

    This is the reason me for placing the questions in this forum?

    Are you trying to say this is also wrong ?

    Can you please help to answer my original questions ?

    I’m sorry, I’ve been away from the forums. Did you try the wordpress.org support forums. I’m afraid I don’t have the answers you’re looking for. Perhaps someone else here does. But I think you’ll have better luck at the other forums.
