Page/post visits v image clicks
-
Today my stats took a big hit and i noticed this is because image clicks are being counted in the ‘top posts & pages’ area rather than in the box below it for ‘clicks’. Does anyone know if this is part of a new upgrade or is it a temporary hitch? It makes all my past stats meaningless now and doesnt seem like a true visitor count :(

WordPress.com stats are page view stats they are not unique visitor stats.
image clicks are being counted in the ‘top posts & pages’ area rather than in the box below it for ‘clicks’.
As far as I know nothing has change but only Staff know for sure if there has been a change or not.
This section of stats will list the Posts and Pages which have received the most views. A view is only counted for a post or page when the permalink URL is visited. For example, if a visitor reads a post titled “Hello World” while viewing the home page of your blog, the view will not be counted towards the post, only towards total views. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#top-posts-pages
If you want to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
