    Hello @tillyhunter3,

The simplest way you could achieve what you are looking for is to set up your navigation menu with the categories you described above. Add a menu item called Lifestyle and have it link to the category of the same name. This really acts like a filter for your posts based on the category more than actually creating a page.

To achieve this do the following:

Log into your admin area and on the left side click “Menus”

Click the + to create a new menu item and choose either “Add menu item
above” or “Add menu item below” the current item you just clicked the + on.

From this point you will see several option on the left starting with “Link” and then “Category”. Go ahead and click “Category”.

You will see a list of your existing categories. Simply choose the one you wish and then click “Add Item”.

Repeat this step until you have completed all the Menu items you wish to filter and then click “Save”.

That’s it! When someone clicks on the menu it will filter your posts for only that category onto a single page. Just be sure to setup all the categories you think you might want first and mark the posts accordingly.

    Hope this helped. Cheers

Thank you. I’ve managed to do that but now along the top of my home it says each page name twice one has the linked posts the other doesn’t. when I go into pages it only shows one of each. So I can’t delete the empty one. If that makes any sense at all. Can you help?

No worries, you probably have the pages and what we will call category filters up at the same time. You can go into your pages and delete them. You should only need to keep pages like blog and home and remove anything that is both a category and a page. The category filters will do the job of creating the necessary pages.

Check under “menus” as well to make sure you don’t have a link to both the category and the pages you created. It could be doubling up on you for that reason as well.

Thanks again. I’m bloody useless I swear. I’ve just removed the pages but the titles are still showing at the top of the page. Just when you click on it it says oops can’t be found. Please help I tearing my hair out.
    My page is

Hahaha…. oh trust me, everyone goes crazy the first few times they work through these things. Just go back into the “Menu”, as I mentioned above, and you will probably see you have both the page and the category menu items with the same name or similar names. Just delete the one that refers to the page and then save the menu again.

Jesus. I’ve just deleted every menu now 😡

No worries. Take your time. Working fresh sometimes helps to clear out any issues. Just add back in the pages that are actual pages. Home, About Me and the like. Then add back in the pages that are really just category filters. You are doing fine.

I totally understand. I have been working with WordPress for many, many years so I understand the frustration. Sometimes it just takes a good restart to get through it. Cheers.
