Hi, I have been trying to create this website for a month. A contact page, about page and services page. Each time I create one it overwrites all of them for some reasoon and I cannot figure out why. My about link is showing me my contact information. Then I edit that page and both my contact and services pages are showing my about information? It is driving me mad.

If your site uses a theme that supports the site editor, you can access and edit templates. A quick way to determine if your site uses the site editor is to check for Appearance → Editor in your site’s dashboard.

Edit the Page template if you wish to change the overall layout of all pages that use this template.

If you want to change the content of a single page only, go to Pages in your site’s dashboard and select that page to edit it directly.Step 1: Open

  • Hi there,

Thank you for letting us know!

Let me start by explaining something about WordPress themes. They use templates that set how the content added to pages and posts look. They are like the molds that the content will adjust to and require a Content block to work as expected.
These templates can be edited from Appearance → Editor → Templates.
And the template that usually sets how pages look, is the Pages template.

From what you describe, it sounds like the content of the Contact page was added to the Pages template and is thus overriding all the content of the site pages that use this template.

This is quite simple to solve by following the steps to reset the template in this guide:
    https://wordpress.com/support/templates/#step-2-reset-the-template

Please make sure to reset only the Pages template.
