  I would like to add a page called ‘shop’, I want it to show in the page tabs but when someone clicks on it I want it to take them to my shop which is hosted elsewhere.

  Can this be done?

  A discreet link to your business in the sidebar or an About page is permitted. http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
  Also note that in order to get a blog here you agreed to Terms of Service – see section 2, 5th bullet – A wordpress.com blog cannot be used to drive business to 3rd party websites. http://wordpress.com/tos/
