Pages all look the same

    I updated the index page to have my own header and footer, and all is well.

    When I go to create pages and I try to use the editor to add page content, I get a message that says to update the page I need to edit the template.

    My question is how do I edit each individual page? Every time I think I am doing so, I am only updating the template, so it applies to all pages.

    I am new to this and would appreciate any help.

    If you wish to edit the page contents only (without the possibility to make changes to the underlying template) you can do so from the page list here: https://wordpress.com/pages/
