Pages and post

    Good Morning,

    I am using the Dara theme for my site, but I wanted it to look similar to the demo. I am now having a problem.

    The demo of the Dara theme shows 3 featured pages. I added the featured pages however, I need help adding posts to these pages. I want my readers to click on the pages and be taken to all the posts related to that page.

    Right now when you click on one of the three pages you are taken to a blank page. How can I fix this?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    @dearyoungprofessional,

    Right now when you click on one of the three pages you are taken to a blank page.
    Hi. The site http://dearyoungprofessional.com/ doesn’t and can’t have front page featured pages as presently constructed because it doesn’t have a static front page. Are you referring to that site or another? The featured pages on Dara that you refer to only display on a page set as the front page, as described in the “Set a Static Front Page” section of the Dara theme guide. Your site doesn’t have a static front page, and is set to display posts on the front page instead. So I wonder where and how you clicked on them.

    however, I need help adding posts to these pages.

    The three optional front page featured pages are part of the static front page on Dara. Up to three pages may be selected at Customize > Theme Options. If you select your posts or blog page as one of the three, then your posts page (blog page) will display as that front page featured page (1, 2, or 3). You can’t otherwise display posts in those featured pages. Even display posts shortcode doesn’t work in them.

    @tramylekt,

    You’ve evidently chosen the static page titled “Blog” as one of your front page featured pages. If you’d like your posts to display there instead of that static page, then set that page as your posts page at Customize > Homepage Settings > Posts page. Note that if you do so, then the content of the static page will not display, and your “blog” category page may become redundant.
