Pages become missing

    Hello!

    I have been building a site in WordPress (jannicointl.com), and been creating pages and adding content. The next day I log in, and all the content is gone. I save and published all the pages. Twice this has happened to me now, and I go back and re-create the entire page. When I go to my webpage in my browser, the pages I created are still there however – but just not there on my dashboard.

    Please help me resolve.

    You’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Your site is a self-hosted installation of WordPress, available at WordPress.org. If you’re having problems with a site not hosted with WordPress.com, we may not be able to help. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

    It appears you have setup more than one site at different hosting locations. I checked http://www.jannicointl.com/ and I found that site is setup using WordPress software, but it is not hosted here at WordPress.com. Please read http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences.

    It’s a little confusing in your case because it looks like you first paid to map the jannicointl.com domain at WordPress.com but then you also changed those settings and mapped the domain to a completely different web hosting company instead.

    The http://jannico.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ site is setup here at WordPress.com while the http://www.jannicointl.com/ site appears to be hosted at an outside company Dreamhost.

    Here, we can help you with anything on the WordPress.com side, so let us know if you would prefer to switch back to using WordPress.com instead of Dreamhost and we can help you with that. If you would like to continue editing the site you setup at Dreamhost instead, you should use pages at http://jannicointl.com/wp-admin/ to edit your site and not the WordPress.com system which is separate.
