Pages categories

Hey WP team!
Hope you are well – I’m looking to create different categories for pages so that I can have them as an option on the menu pages on my home page (I hope I’m making sense!).
At the moment, I’ve created post categories as place-holders, but I don’t really need the sites within them to be posts, but pages.Could you help me with the above?
Let me know if you need more information :) I’m sure I have not explained myself clearly, but I’m new to WP!
Thank you.

Good Morning, Lia –
From the sounds of it, you’d like to group pages together by category and display those categories in the menu?
For example, if you have 3 pages about Fish, and I click on Fish from the site menu, All 3 pages would then be displayed. This set up works with posts. If you were to assign the Fish category to your posts then you can link that category in the menu and they will all be displayed on one page. That’s not how it works for pages though. The posts don’t have to be displayed anywhere else on the site, they just live on the back end. I guess we need to learn more about what you’re working on and the other goals that you have so we can better advise.

Hey, thank you for getting back to me!
I’m looking to have a top menu with multiple pages such as “contact us”, “blogs”,
“videos” etc, where, if our users click on it, they can access the page, instead of a list of posts.I hope this makes sense :)

Thanks for clarifying!
You would need to create those pages and publish them, then set up those pages in your menu by adding those links to the menu.
I hope that helps!
