Pages – comments for each entry

http://pricelesslifeforless.wordpress.com/
this is my blog.
I am new here, so be patient with me.
I did spend the last hour looking for an answer before posting.
I also see that wordpress says in the FAQ section that posts cannot be made on pages. Here is where my confusion lies..
when i look at other blogs (such as this – http://www.tothinkistocreate.com/ ) that say they are powered by wordpress, her pages have what appear to me to be posts ( where each entry she adds is dated, and people can comment)
QUESTION – I suppose I’m trying to have lets say in my kitchen-time page, that I add different recipes, etc and it not be static.
Is there anything I’m doing wrong, or something I could change to make this work, like I see on other blogs.
Genuinely seeking help,
heather

Hi, Heather – When you see “powered by WordPress” it’s a blog hosted elsewhere, for money, using software from wordpress.org to make it work. See the forum sticky about the differences between the two.
If I understand your question correctly, you want to have a page that lists recipes? That will have to be done by hand on a wordpress.com blog. There’s not enough on that page to be clear.
However – I see a blank page called Advertise. What exactly are you planning to do with that? Are you aware it’s forbidden?
Also see the Terms of Service (bottom of this page), to which you agreed when you signed up.

http://www.tothinkistocreate.com/ is a site powered by WordPress(.ORG) which means it’s a selfhosted blog, they only use the wordpress tool.
All we can do here on WordPress.com is making our front page static so the post are being shown on a different page. If you want that look here:
