Pages different colours please

When I youtube this issue there is a massive amount of complex information about coding, child pages and the like. I am new to wordpress but not new to computers – I expect to be able to change the page colour easliy without coding. I have changed the background colour of the entire website – which was not what I wanted – then I changed the page colour of the entire website – I didn’t want this either. I want to see my page and change its colour – and try lots of different colours until I get the right one, and save my colours to palettes for elsewhere on the site.

The free plan on WordPress.com is limited to a set amount of color palettes provided by the theme and basic design customization. If you want to open up more color customization, or add custom CSS to redesign your themes, you’ll have to upgrade to a Premium or Business plan.
