Pages don't open when I click on them

    I have had this problem for years and I have not been able to figure out what is causing it. Certain links in my wordpress website, when I click on them, just go to a blank page and the proper page won’t open. For example, sometimes when I want to edit a page I click on the “edit” button and the page will just go to a blank page (but on other occasions it will properly open the page in edit mode). But if I right click and then select “open in new tab” from the pop up menu then the page will open in a new tab just fine.

    Similarly, I have inserted links to videos in my wordpress webpages and when I click on them sometimes they open properly and play the video on a new page but most of the time after I click on the link it just goes to a blank page. (Again, if I right click and then select “open in new tab” it will open ok. But I can’t require my readers to that in order to watch a video.)

    I thought for a long time that the problem was just that I had computers that were not powerful enough, that lacked sufficient RAM or something. But now I have a powerful gaming laptop (i7, quad core, 16 Gigabytes of RAM) and the problem still persists. So lack of RAM is not the issue.

    I was using youtube videos for years and that sort of made up for the problem because I could embed the videos in my wordpress web pages and so the person could just click on them and play them in the webpage without switching to a new webpage. That worked. But now youtube is blocking and deleting some of my videos (as they are doing with many, many other people nowadays) so I am working with bitchute, which does not delete people’s videos. But there seems to be no way that I can find to embed bitchute videos in my wordpress pages. So I again have the problem that I cannot present the viewer with videos that he can click on to watch them in an easy way.

    Does anyone know what is going on here and how I can fix this problem? (And/or does anyone know how I can embed bitchute videos in wordpress pages? I emailed bitchute support and they did not respond.)
