Pages don't show up in Menu bar

  I enter pages, but they do not appear on my menu bar. I have two books, researched this site, gone through youtube videos step by step as they are adding pages, and they see them on the menu bar. I don’t have anything. I’m trying to use Twenty Twelve. I’ve been working on this for 2 weeks. To say that I’m upset doesn’t even begin to explain how I’m feeling. I’m not trying to do a custom menu.

  I’m trying to build a website for a business I want to start. What I envision on my site is to have About, Contact Us, Clients, and Employees in the Menu bar. Once that is clicked, it would provide the info for those Pages.

  Please help.
