“Pages” issue

  On my site I’d like to have two catagories named “pages”, one in the left column and one in the right colum. The one in the left column I’d like to be about me/my life and the one in the right column I’d like to be about pages concerning the topics I’ll be writing about. The issue for me is how to know – from the Dashboard which set of “pages” I’m using at any given point. Can someone help me?? Or is it better to deal with “categories” and posts only?? I’d really rather do the “pages” thing though so I can eventually have a neat looking main page.

  My suggestion is always to use posts and categories for stuff like this since pages quickly become a mess, especially if you end up changing to a theme with top navigation tabs later on.
