Pages not displaying properly/completely

  I am particularly having problems with the reader page – I have a banner at the top with the WordPress icon and ‘Menu’ with dropdown arrow that I can select. Then on top right there’s my photo, an orange bargraph icon and pencil icon, then completely blank underneath. There’s nowhere to search topics, follow other blogs, etc. When I select the pencil icon to post and the options come up underneath, I can’t select anything. I’ve tried the obvious, clearing the cache, etc.

  P.S. Meant to say I CAN’T select the Menu button either!
