Pages not reflecting my changes

Hi. I am currently using the free version of the site to get used to the UI
I’ve noticed that whatever changes I made, they aren’t reflecting on the pages I’ve made them. For example: The home page I’ve created is an ‘index’ page but it isn’t showing up as I created it. When I ‘view’ it, I see the free theme instead. Even making changes to the free theme seems to be problematic.

If I search the ‘pages’ I can find the changes I’ve made for the homepage as part of the subpages. What am I doing wrong?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

To check, have you changed the styles of the site as seen here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/using-styles/ ?

If yes, these would fall under advanced styling which is possible to publish via the premium plan:

The home page I’ve created is an ‘index’ page but it isn’t showing up as I created it. When I ‘view’ it, I see the free theme instead. Even making changes to the free theme seems to be problematic.

To check, are you making changes via Appearance > Editor?

If yes, that may be a different place to make changes… The index page is the posts page template traditionally.

    Many thanks in advance!
