Pages out of order
-
Hi, im new to wordpress and enjoying it so far.
I just had one problem so far. I only have 3 posts, starting with an intro post, welcome to, etc. I made a second post with a video, then a 3rd. So the second post came under the first one like I thought it would, but when I made the 3rd post, something happened and now my welcome post, which should be the last on the page, since it was the first post, is now sandwhiched between my two video posts.I read elsewhere that you can can the date of the post but they are already in chronological order since I made them one after another, but for some reason my first post is showing up like I made it second.
I also had the problem of changin the theme around a couple times and makin two home pages someone and I deleted one, now all my posts were on like a blank page, I had to make a ‘posts’ page to put them on, becuase I wanted to have a home page. So now how can I put my intro post, on that homepage without deleting and reposting it?
I hope im makin sense
my blog site is :

p.s
so far I just have my ‘welcome post’ ‘attached to the main page’ which is fine for now since its new and I want that to show up first for te first little bit anyways but If i could have that on the main page and everything else on the post page that would be perfect.

First, go to settings > general and set the proper time offset from GMT/UTC for your timezone and then click “save changes”.
Next, Open the “hello world” post and change the publish date (above the save button in the editor) to a date earlier than your actual second post.
On the second problem, are you wanting a static “home” page that does not have your posts on it?

Thank for the help and the quick reply.
I fixed the date issue, I was off on the UTC and also just changed the date of my ‘welcome’ post.
The second ‘issue’ I think I figured out what I wanna do, just kinda confused on how the pages work.
If I start a new page, can I ‘import’ posts already made, to that page? -
Pages that you create cannot have posts on them. Pages are for static content such as about, policies, etc. You can set a static front page and then after making a page to use as a post page, set that up under settings > reading. Choose your static page and choose which page you want your posts to appear on.

http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/02/20/having-a-static-page-at-the-front-of-the-blog/By default, the main page of your blog holds and displays your posts. You can then create other pages for static content, but you cannot create a second page to also hold posts. In other words, you cannot have multiple blog pages within a single blog.
